Our Guide to Picking the Perfect Coat

We get it; you don’t just splurge on a coat! A coat is an investment piece, you need it to last you until Spring. With this being a staple piece in your wardrobe,  the range of choice can be a little overwhelming. From parka to padded, faux fur to formal, it’s important to make the right choice and we’re here to help…

What are your needs?

How do you commute to work? Do you drive? If so you probably don’t need a super warm, padded style; a lighter-weight structured style may be a better fit for you.

Make sure you have plenty of room…

It’s a layering nightmare when you can’t fit your coat over your favorite knit. Make sure you can fit over extra layers for when the weather turns. Try on over a chunky knit and give yourself some stretching space around your arms and upper body.

I work in the email team here at Simply Be HQ. I spend a lot of my time looking for my next holiday destination as well as scrolling through various shopping apps trying to find an outfit for the event I’ve not even planned yet. I’m a major animal lover especially for dogs, I could spend all day watching videos on Instagram. I also enjoy running and going to the gym (I live by pizza Fridays).
